The First Pax Galaxia Tournament-
On June 10th The First Pax Galaxia Tournament kicked off. Since there have been no matches, it has been extended until a winner is determined; until a match takes place open spots will be available. Remember this is The First Pax Tournament, and the winner will be declared The Pax World Champ.
Dio’s Forum and Public Games Shutdown-
This past Tuesday OurPaxForum’s unofficial affiliate diogames.com/forums/ and all Pax Galaxia public games shut down. As far as OurPaxForum knows there has been no explanation for this. This is not the first time this has happened, and this is starting to concern some members. The odd thing is that when the public games came back, the servers appeared not to be affected. If you have any news or reasons why this could have happened please make a thread about it in OurPaxForum News Room.
Classifications-
Congratulation to Ryuuzaki, for being ranked by OurPaxForum members as number one. There will be a new set of classifications in the near future, and hopefully the chart will be updated every two weeks.
Forum Changes:
Late Spring Cleaning and expansion of The Library Of Maps-
On June 28th Rob(admin) did some late spring cleaning of the forum because it was unorganized and cluttered. As you may have noticed, the biggest change to the forum has been the expansion of the library of maps. The Library was expanded to allow for better organizing, and to make it the center attraction. The Library was separated into maps by player number, and further separated into maps by makers(there must be more than three maps for a map maker to have his or her own sub-board. Please if you have any maps that are not included please share them for the benefit of the community.
The second big change was the upgrading of the Pax Galaxia General Discussion sub-boards. They have been brought up to the front page to attract more members, and to allow for sub-boards. If you have any suggestions please make a thread in the suggestions board.
The Icons-
In conjunction with the late spring cleaning, all of the icons on the forum, have been restored to their defaults. There will hopefully be new icons in the near future, but as of now we are stuck with the defaults. Before KingSuck left, he modified the icons, but sadly they were mismatch(e.g. smiley faces were med faces were), and they did not fit well together.
Social News:
Featured Member: Ryuuzaki-
Ryuuzaki is this Newsletter’s Featured Member, and the first featured member of Our News Letter. He is this Newsletter’s featured member, because he has been a very active member(I see him on all the time), he has contributed greatly to the forum(by making the ZIP for the old Pax Version), he has helped me with many things, and has been voted by his peers as the best player.
I expect great things from Ryuuzaki, and consider him a valued member and asset to our forum.
Featured Map: Basicp-
Basicp, was made by oCp, and is very popular among the whole Pax Galaxia community. It is very simple, and yet can play out in infinite possibilities. It allows for great tactics, and quick turnarounds. It is a very good map, and the best thing is that it is part of a line of maps, that being the “Basic” maps.
Clan News: Enyaw/rivalry-
This past month The League Of Particianship has recruited its fourth member. Enyaw is a very capable player, and is honest and possesses reason. He make the clan proud, and will be a valued member the league.
So far Enyaw’s biggest contribution to the forum, has been to try and help get other clans together. He has been telling everyone in the clan to help get a rivalry going. So I must do my part to help, OurPaxForum, is creating any clan/user group. There are really no restrictions, all you need to do is send me a PM telling me why the clan would help the forum.
We would like to have a friendly Rivalry going, and it can be fun. Just recruit you friends, and you’ll get your own private board, and a recognition by the forum as a clan.
FIGHTS-
This past month I am sorry to say I have been involved in two fights. The first with dominion, over something very trivial, and I sent him a letter to burry the hatchet. The second was with Berserk, and it was about me not modifying his maps, by putting his name in fast enough. I deeply regret having been involved in the fights, and I am trying my best to stay out of them.
Pax Battle Stories-
There are no stories as of late because this is the first letter. Hopefully there will be some for the next letter.
Tips and Tricks-
1)Remember whether you’re a noob or a Pax God always try to get a base to keep a steady supply of fresh coming in.
2)TRAP TRAP TRAP!!!!!
3)In the moments before a game starts, assess the strong and weak points of the map.
4)For everyone benefit go for the strongest player, this does not mean an alliance of everybody on one, but an unspoken understanding.
Expansions:
OCP’s and Rob’s/OurForum’s Server-
OCP’s and Rob’s/OurForum’s servers have started to be hosted frequently. These server’s are Official OurPaxForum Server and are run by staff. Hopefully they fill recruit more members for the forum, or at the very least introduce noobs to both forums.
Advertising for OurPaxForum-
It was my birthday on July 2nd, and I have come into some money. I will buy 7 or 14 credits and use them towards advertising for the Forum. I hope this will broaden the user base, and bring new members.
Fun and Games:
Jokes-
A)Yo' mama so poor, she hangs the toilet paper out to dry!
B)What has 72 arms and 36 heads an has an I.Q. of 12?
A redneck bar on Friday night
C)Top Ten Ways to Freak Out Your Roommate
10) Collect potatoes. Paint faces on them and give them names. Name one after your roommate. Separate your roommate's potato from the others. Wait a few days, and then bake your roommate's potato and eat it. Explain to your roommate, ''He just didn't belong.''
9) Move everything to one side of the room. Ask your roommate if he knows how much an elephant weighs, and look at the floor on the empty side of the room with concern.
8) Draw a tiny black line on your nose. Make it bigger every day. Look at it and say, ''The hair, it's growing. Growing!''
7) Buy some knives. Sharpen them every night. While you're doing so, look at
6) Collect hundreds of pens and pile them on one side of the room. Keep one pencil on the other side of the room. Laugh at the pencil.
5) Tell your roommate, ''I've got an important message for you.'' Then pretend to faint. When you recover, say you can't remember what the message was. Later on, say, ''Oh, yeah, I remember!'' Pretend to faint again. Keep this up for several weeks.
4) While your roommate is out, glue your shoes to the ceiling. When your roommate walks in, sit on the floor, hold your head, and moan.
3) Make a sandwich. Don't eat it, leave it on the floor. Ignore the sandwich. Wait until your roommate gets rid of it, and then say, ''Hey, where the heck is my sandwich!?'' Complain loudly that you are hungry.
2) Every time your roommate walks in yell, ''Hooray! You're back!'' as loud as you can and dance around the room for five minutes. Afterwards, keep looking at your watch and saying, ''Shouldn't you be going somewhere?''
1) Talk back to your Rice Krispies. All of a sudden, act offended, throw the bowl on the floor and kick it. Refuse to clean it up, explaining, ''No, I want to watch them suffer.'''
Story by Rob-
My friend Wally and I were messing with my other friend Tsuda the whole day. His mom was coming to pick him up, and just as he was leaving he did some weird panda's fist shit to the window. I swear to god that right after he broke it he stood there fore maybe five seconds, while we were telling him to run.
He went over to some cashier and started to tell his side of the story. After maybe five minutes he went outside to get his mom(who was oblivious to what happened), but did not tell the cashier were he was going.
So the lady started asking does anyone know his phone number or where he lives? Wally ran over and started saying I do I do. Then I told him to make sure he gets an arch card for being a good samaritan. LOL
Then when they started to talk about the Po Po, Wally knew nothing. The lady asked what his last name was and Wally responded by saying" he's just some weird Japanese kid who follows me around." Priceless.
His mom ended up coming in and straightening it all out. We still make fun of him for not running and getting his mommy.
